Refund Policy
This policy explains the general principles applicable to cancellations, refunds, revisions, completed work, scope changes, and marketplace orders for legal document drafting, contract review, legal writing, and related services offered by Tonnie Kariuki Law.

Tonnie Kariuki Law provides professional legal document drafting, contract review, legal writing, and related services through applicable third-party service marketplaces, including Fiverr.
Where a service is purchased through Fiverr, the applicable Fiverr terms, order procedures, cancellation rules, payment procedures, dispute-resolution mechanisms, and refund policies may apply to that transaction.
Nothing on this page is intended to replace or override mandatory marketplace rules or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
1. Scope of This Refund Policy
This Refund Policy ("Policy") applies generally to legal document drafting, contract drafting, contract review, document review, legal writing, document revision, and related professional services offered by Tonnie Kariuki Law ("Tonnie Kariuki Law," "we," "our," or "us").

5. Cancellation After Work Has Started
If substantive drafting, research, analysis, or document review has already commenced, the availability and amount of any refund may depend on the applicable marketplace rules and the circumstances of the order.

- The amount of work already performed.
- The extent of drafting or review completed.
- Research already undertaken.
- Documents or analysis already prepared.
- The original scope of the order.
- The reason for the cancellation.

6. Completed Services and Delivered Work
Once the agreed service has been substantially completed and the applicable deliverables have been delivered, a refund is generally not warranted solely because a client subsequently decides not to use the work.

- Changes their mind.

- Changes the underlying transaction.
- Decides not to proceed with a transaction.

Once substantive review work has commenced, cancellation and refund requests will be considered under the applicable order and marketplace procedures.
A refund is not ordinarily justified solely because a client disagrees with a professional observation, recommendation, risk assessment, or conclusion provided within the agreed scope.
9. Revisions
Where revisions are included in the applicable Fiverr package or order, revisions will generally relate to the original instructions and agreed scope.
Revision requests may constitute additional work where they:
- Introduce substantially new instructions.
- Change the nature of the transaction.
- Require additional documents.
- Require substantial new research.
- Require a materially different document.
- Fall outside the original order scope.
Where additional work is requested, it may require a separate Fiverr order or an applicable additional service arrangement through the marketplace.
10. Client Delays and Incomplete Information
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information and documents reasonably necessary to perform the agreed service.
Delays caused by incomplete instructions, missing documents, delayed responses, inaccurate information, or changes in instructions may affect the delivery schedule.
Such circumstances do not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
11. Scope Changes and Additional Work
A client may request additional work after an order has commenced. However, additional work may fall outside the original scope.
Additional work may include:
- Additional contracts or documents.
- Additional rounds of revisions.
- Extensive restructuring.
- Additional legal research.
- Additional jurisdiction-specific work.
- Urgent or expedited services.
- Negotiation-related assistance where separately offered.
Additional work should be agreed through the applicable Fiverr ordering process before it is undertaken.
12. Duplicate or Accidental Payments
Where a duplicate or accidental payment occurs through Fiverr, the client should use the applicable Fiverr support, order, or resolution procedures.
Any refund will be handled in accordance with the applicable marketplace payment procedures and applicable law.
13. Fiverr Marketplace Orders
Fiverr orders are subject to Fiverr's applicable Terms of Service, payment procedures, cancellation policies, dispute-resolution procedures, and other marketplace rules.
Where a Fiverr policy applies to an order, clients should follow the procedures provided by Fiverr for cancellation, dispute, refund, or order-related concerns.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to modify Fiverr's contractual terms or marketplace procedures.
14. Refund Requests for Fiverr Orders
For services purchased through Fiverr, refund and cancellation requests should generally be initiated through the applicable Fiverr order or Fiverr's designated support and resolution channels.

The purchase of a service does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal, regulatory, commercial, financial, investment, or business outcome.
A refund is therefore not automatically warranted because:
- A transaction does not proceed.
- A contract is not accepted by another party.
- A negotiation is unsuccessful.
- A regulator requests changes.
- An investment does not achieve an expected result.
- A business decision changes after completion.
18. Client Responsibility for Information
Clients are responsible for providing information that is reasonably necessary for the requested service and for reviewing information supplied to us for accuracy and completeness.
Where a document is prepared based on incomplete, inaccurate, or subsequently changed information, additional work may be necessary to address the resulting changes.
19. No Waiver of Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any right that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived under applicable law.
Where applicable law or mandatory marketplace rules provide a right to cancellation, refund, dispute resolution, or another remedy, that right remains subject to the applicable requirements.
